Because of changes in Post Office procedures\, we recommend mailing your ballot at least one week before Election Day to make sure it arrives and gets counted on time. Don’t wait until the last minute. Requested a mail or absentee ballot? Plan to use it. Once you apply for an early mail or absentee ballot\, you can’t vote in person unless you cast an affidavit ballot. If your plans change and you’d rather vote in person\, bring your absentee ballot with you to surrender it\, or be prepared to vote by affidavit.  Make Your Plan TodayWhether you vote early\, by mail\, or on Election Day itself\, the important thing is having a plan. Mark your calendar\, know your deadlines\, and make your voice heard. Have questions on Election Day? The NYS Attorney General’s Election Day Hotline is standing by: 866-390-2529.  Questions?
