News of the Week - League of Women Voters of East Nassau

Leagues across the country have seen an impressive increase in membership in recent months, as new Leagues are forming from Utah to Georgia to Pennsylvania. We continue to be recognized as a go-to organization advocating for voting rights.

The League is a trusted source when this key issue is in the news such as the North Carolina Voter defamation lawsuit and the House Administration Committee voted to eliminate the Election Assistance Commission (EAC).

Outside of Washington, local and state League leaders are focused on redistricting to make our elections fairer and educating the public about the efforts to do so in a non-partisan way. Leagues are engaging new members, planning refugee forums and creating important PSAs about voting.
