Women’s Equality Day
The ILO will host a women’s history event this year to celebrate August 26th as Women’s Equality Day and the historic passage of the 19th Amendment.
Five women, each selected by a local League will be honored:
- Barbara Epstein, East Nassau
- Ruth Jones, Central Nassau
- Sarah Nichols, Long Beach
- Francine Furtado, Manhasset/Port Washington
- Pat Sympson, Southwest Nassau
