Women’s Equality Day

The ILO will host a women’s history event this year to celebrate August 26th as Women’s Equality Day and the historic passage of the 19th Amendment.

Five women, each selected by a local League will be honored:

• Barbara Epstein, East Nassau
• Ruth Jones, Central Nassau
• Sarah Nichols, Long Beach
• Francine Furtado, Manhasset/Port Washington
• Pat Sympson, Southwest Nassau
