LWVNC will be holding one or more virtual training sessions for those who are interested in becoming League moderators for candidate forums. Anyone interested is strongly urged to attend. No commitment to becoming a moderator is required, but we are hoping that some who attend will decide to take on this role.
We are heading into School Board Election season, when we will be asked to provide moderators. It is important for these forums that the moderators be non-partisan, as it is for all candidate forums. Therefore, we never assign members from a particular district to moderate for that district’s election.
If you are interested in becoming a moderator, please plan to attend the (virtual) moderator training session, which will be held on Wednesday, April 14, at 7:00 pm. If there are many members who are interested, but cannot attend this session, a subsequent one may be
organized. Please plan to take advantage of this opportunity.
