Nassau County Advisory Redistricting Commission met for the first time on August 31 to hear testimony from the public about their concerns about the new redistricting lines to be drawn. There will be 5 additional hearings that have been scheduled. It is vital that League be at these meetings. We need to make sure our local communities are well represented and assist them in preparing testimony if needed.
I am organizing testimony for the Monday October 3 meeting scheduled for 6pm at Albany Avenue Community 211 North Albany Avenue, North Massapequa. This is the only meeting being held in the Town of Oyster Bay. Please let me know if you will testify or other organizations that will.
