Women in Nassau County Government

Due to a scheduling conflict, Madeline Singas will not be our guest speaker. This month our speaker will be Deputy Chief of the Nassau County DA’s Economic Crimes Bureau, Connie Gentile. She will talk about financial crimes, credit card scams, loan fraud, check fraud and bank fraud.

Our general meeting for March was planned in recognition of Women’s History Month. To our dismay, the meeting had to be cancelled due to inclement weather.

We are very fortunate that our speaker for that meeting, Nassau County District Attorney, Madeline Singas, has generously agreed to speak to us instead at our May meeting.

Please join us, therefore, on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at 3:30 pm at the Levittown Public Library, to hear Ms. Singas speak about the role of women in Nassau County Government, as well as the job of the District Attorney’s office. The meeting is being co-sponsored by the League and the Library.

Ms. Singas, the second female Chief Law Enforcement Officer of Nassau County, has served as District Attorney since 2015. Surely she will have a lot to share with us.

The public is invited to attend. Please feel free to bring friends, neighbors and relatives. There will be a question and answer period following Ms. Singas’ presentation.

For additional information contact Barbara Epstein: epsteinb1@gmail.com or 516-221-1948. Attendees are invited to go out for dinner together after the meeting.
