What’s the Big Fuss About COVID-19 Vaccines

Please join us on Wednesday, April 20, at 7:00 pm at the Levittown Library, Bluegrass Lane, Levittown.

We are very excited that we will finally be able to have live meetings at the Library again. Don’t miss this opportunity to get together as well as to hear the very latest information regarding Covid-19. We are exposed to so much information that it’s hard to separate rumor from fact.

Our speaker for the evening will be Dr. Michael Hadjiargyrou, PhD, Professor & Chair of Biological & Chemical Sciences and Director of the DO/PhD Program of the College of Osteopathic Medicine at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT).

Dr. Hadjiargyrou will review the structure of coronaviruses, the historical development of the COVID-19 vaccines, the science behind them, how they work and some of the misconceptions that have proliferated.

Feel free to invite friends and neighbors to attend Dr. Hadjiargyrou’s talk and the Q & A session that will follow. Get the answers to the questions you have had for the last two years from someone who is up to date on the latest research and information.

Please be sure to attend the Concurrence Meeting which will take place on Wednesday, April 6, at 6:45, just prior to our monthly business meeting.

It will take place via Zoom.

Send an email to EastNassauLWV@gmail.com to request the link to the meeting.

There will be a presentation on Election Administration (how election systems in NYS and elsewhere are structured) and then a discussion. After the discussion, we will be asked whether we concur or not with several possible new League positions on this subject. No prior knowledge is required, but a brief information sheet will be emailed to all members prior to the meeting.
